What is a pay later survey?
A pay later survey lets you book one of our RICS-registered surveys without paying the full cost upfront. Payment is deferred until a later agreed date — usually when your property purchase completes. You still get the same thorough inspection and detailed report. The only thing that changes is when you settle the bill.
How does the pay later survey option work?
When you book your survey, just tell our team you'd like to use the pay later option. We'll explain the terms, confirm eligibility and book your surveyor as normal. Once the inspection is complete, you'll receive your report straight away. Payment is then arranged in line with the agreed terms — most commonly on completion of your house purchase through your solicitor.
Which surveys can I pay later for?
You can use our pay later survey option on most of our services, including:

Is there a credit check or interest charge?
No credit check is needed for our standard pay later survey arrangement, and there's no interest to pay. You pay the same price for your survey whether you choose to pay upfront or defer payment until completion. Full terms are explained when you book.
What happens if my purchase falls through?
We understand that property purchases sometimes fall through. If yours doesn't proceed, you'll still need to pay for the survey work already carried out. But we'll work with you on the timing and arrangements. Just let our team know as early as possible if your circumstances change.
Will I still get the same quality of survey?
Absolutely. Every pay later survey is carried out by a fully RICS-qualified surveyor working to the strict standards set by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. Choosing to defer payment has no impact on the quality, depth or speed of your report.
How quickly can I book a pay later survey?
Most of our customers have their survey booked within 24 hours of getting in touch. The pay later option doesn't slow things down. Your surveyor will arrange a convenient inspection date, and your report typically follows within a few working days.
